Project Superintendent

Due to growth, we are currently seeking an experienced residential construction Project Superintendent for the greater Richmond, VA area.

Base salary range of $60,000 to $70,000

As Project Superintendent, your primary responsibility will be to supervise and manage the field construction of a project and to complete the work on schedule, within budget, and to the quality of workmanship specified. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction project scheduling, communications, coordination with subcontractors and vendors, safety, daily documentation, and client interaction. Hours are Monday through Friday: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in the residential construction industry
2+ years of experience leading and supervising subcontractors
2+ years of of job site management in residential construction
Ability to read and interpret documents: codebooks, operating and install instructions, and procedural manuals
Positive and upbeat demeanor
Strong math skills with the ability to calculate figures and amounts and to conduct takeoffs
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation
Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to adapt to changing needs
Excellent prioritization and multi-tasking skills with keen attention to detail
Project Superintendent Duties:
Utilize web-based project management software system to assist in completing daily tasks
Build and maintain project schedule
Review trade sketches and project drawings prior to permitting
Schedule all trades and material deliveries on multiple job sites, simultaneously
Manage subcontractors to ensure timely completion of their assigned scope of work
Manage cleanliness of job sites daily and clean job sites when necessary
Set-up/take-down dust and floor protection systems as necessary
Provide weekly job updates to Project Manager
Schedule and conduct walkthroughs with project Owner and Management Team
Manage change orders and change order requests with Owner and Production Coordinator
Manage punch list items to ensure timely completion of projects
Attend in-office weekly production meetings
Compile closing packet with deliverables to Owner and product manuals
Manage warranty claims as they arise throughout 1-year warranty period
